This Elmarit is a compact, universal, medium telephoto lens offering very good contrast and sharpness over the entire field at all apertures, with barely discernible falloff even at f/2.8. Natural-looking, realistic portraits against soft-focus backgrounds can be easily achieved by shooting at the widest apertures. The lens weighs just over 400 grams and is not much larger than a 50 mm lens - perfect for travel photos.
