Swarovski CT 101 Carbon Fiber Tripod

The Swarovski CT 101 Tripod has a total weight of 2,000 g the Carbon tripod is a versatile companion even on long trips. The light weight and silent operating elements make frequent, fast changes of location impressively easy. The comfortable shoulder-support on the tripod legs makes carrying especially convenient. The resultant benefit is tripled: firstly the area in contact with the shoulders is increased spreading the pressure evenly, secondly the soft support has a cushioning effect and thirdly the non-slip surface ensures a secure position whilst carrying.

The large diameter and variable angle adjustment of the tripod legs ensure the tripod's stability. The leg clamps can be opened rapidly and silently. Ergonomically designed clamping mechanisms enable many adjustments to be made with just one hand. The central column which can be extended by up to 35 cm has a locking device to prevent it from retracting abruptly even with the spotting scope mounted thus preventing any risk of injury.

The tripod head (weighing only 540 g) allows smooth, fixable inclination and rotational movements for angles of inclination of +/- 90°. The Fast Mount System FMS also makes it easy to assemble the spotting scope with one hand. The maintenance-free tripod head is equally suitable for right and left-handed operators. There are separate operating elements: one for locking in position and another for adjusting ease of movement to ensure smooth and frictionless movement.

Swarovski Optik's quality standards are also evident in the Carbon tripod. Only high-quality materials are used in its manufacture: all plastic parts of the tripod are made from fibreglass-reinforced MAKROLON® which is very sturdy, shock-absorbent and easy to care for. The 2-stage pull-out tripod legs are made of extremely light, unbreakable carbon fibres. Corrosion-resistant steel or anodized aircraft aluminium is used for all metal parts.
