And not only mountain trekkers with their spectacular views will appreciate the panorama function of the new DC 8022 WP. With this feature 360° panorama shots can be captured with ease on the SD card. An electronic image stabilizer additionally reduces camera shake, even when hands start to wobble.

The high performance of the 2.5 inch color monitor with excellent light transmission is shown off to its best advantage when shooting underwater images. The autofocus lens with 3x optical, interior zoom and the macro function provide great flexibility when framing the subject, both in and out of water.

The menu operation is easy and self-explanatory. Depending on the situation there are 24 subject exposure programs to choose from, ranging from the sports mode to nighttime shots up to underwater shooting. And the friendliest option of all with this camera is the Smile Detection. This feature scans faces for the very best smile – and then shoots the picture. Another unusual and a very original additional option for the creative photographer is the Coupling Shot. This enables two images to be merged into one – a real treasure chest for creative photo superimposition.
