The laser rangefinder, built into each new and improved Geovid HD, is now capable of accurately measuring distances of up to 1400 yards (1300 metres) and in doing so, takes the guess work out of range assessment.
Leica's legendary optics, have also been improved with the use of Flouride glass for even better definition, brilliance and contrast resulting in a perfect "two in one" tool for the modern stalker. In addition the new AquaDura lens coating repels water and dirt to make them even easier to clean and use in extreme weather conditions.
Leica was the first optical specialist to combine high-performance binoculars and a laser range finder in one especially compact set of binoculars. They enable the user also to switch to scanning mode to allow constant tracking of a moving object with the rangefinder function.

Geovid 42mm Models
All these models feature a 42 mm objective lens, improved light transmission from the new Flouride glass and water repellant AquaDura lens coating. Your LEICA GEOVID HD is built to accompany you through thick and thin. The housing is made of cast aluminum not only to reduce weight but also for its special robustness. It is filled with nitrogen to eliminate fogging of the lenses. The precise processing, typical of Leica, also guarantees that a LEICA GEOVID HD remains fully operational even during the most inclement weather - even down to 16.5 ft (5m) deep in water ! Its folding lines and ergonomic design make the Geovid HD extraordinarily compact and space-saving.

Geovid 56mm Models
All these models feature a 56 mm objective lens, improved light transmission from the new Flouride glass and water repellant AquaDura lens coating. The Leica GEOVID 8 x 56 HD and the 15 x 56 HD are optimised for twilight and low light conditions via their 56 mm lens diameter, and both are unparallelled in terms of lightness and compactness. They deliver images that are extremely rich in contrast, colour neutral, and sharp from edge to edge. They open up a new dimension in viewing and identifying even the finest details over long distances - especially in poor light conditions.
